2. Overview

LayPic is a photo collage editor that places the highest value on protecting your data. We do not operate our own server. All image processing happens exclusively on your device. No photos are uploaded to any server.

3. Local Data Storage

The app stores the following data exclusively on your device:

Photos: Images you select or import are stored locally in the app’s sandbox for collage creation.
Saved collages: Project data is stored in the app’s local document directory.
Settings: App preferences and export settings.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the functionality of the app).

4. Photo Library Access

LayPic requires access to your photo library to select images for collages.

Access is only granted with your explicit permission (iOS permission dialog).
Selected photos are processed entirely locally on your device.
No photos are transmitted to any server.
You can revoke the permission at any time in your iOS settings.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

5. URL Import

When using the URL import feature, webpages and images are fetched directly from your device.

URLs are not forwarded to LayPic servers.
Downloaded images are only stored locally on your device.
The connection is made directly between your device and the target website.

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of LayPic displays advertisements via Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).

AdMob may process the following data:

Device advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID)
IP address (truncated within the EU)
Device information (model, operating system, screen size)
Interactions with advertisements (clicks, impressions)
Approximate location (based on IP address)

By subscribing to LayPic Pro, advertising is completely disabled. In this case, no data is transmitted to Google AdMob.

7. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

LayPic Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription. Purchases are processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.

We do not receive any payment data (credit card number, bank details, etc.).
Subscription management and cancellation is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Apple processes this data in accordance with the Apple Privacy Policy.

8. No Own Server

We do not operate our own server and do not collect any data server-side. The app communicates exclusively with Apple services (App Store) and Google AdMob (in the free version).

9. Children’s Privacy

LayPic is not specifically directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Your Rights under GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access (Art. 15 GDPR): You can request information about your stored data.
Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You can request the correction of inaccurate data.
Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You can request the deletion of your data.
Restriction (Art. 18 GDPR): You can request the restriction of processing.
Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You can request your data in a machine-readable format.
Objection (Art. 21 GDPR): You can object to the processing of your data.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g., the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

11. Data Deletion

You can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the app. All photos, saved collages, and settings will be permanently removed from your device.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy as needed, for example in case of changes to the app’s functionality or legal requirements. The current version is always available at this address.
